Boot Düsseldorf 2023: Visitor Boot Themed Areas and some of the most exciting new boats to track down

After 2 years of Covid-enforced hiatus, the 49th edition of one of the world’s premier boat show has returned for 2023: The Dusseldorf Boat Show; also known as the boot Düsseldorf, it is an annual event held in Düsseldorf, Germany. It is one of the largest and most prestigious boat shows in the world, attracting thousands of visitors from around the globe. With some 1,600 exhibitors from over 50 countries, it is considered a benchmark for the international boat and water sports industry. Unparalleled at other major boat shows, a large vessel up to 180 gross registered tonnage (grt) can be fully viewed at the complete indoor event. The show features a wide variety of boats, ranging from small inflatable dinghies to enormous luxury yachts. In addition to boats, the show also features a wide range of marine-related products and services, including engines, navigation equipment and accessories. The space also includes an artificial river and a 213-foot-long pool for watersports demos. Situated on the banks of the Rhine, the event officially kicks off the international boat show season.   Various water sports such as diving, surfing, skim-boarding, kite surfing, stand up paddle-boarding, canoeing and sport fishing will be in the spotlight at boot. Attractive stage programmes with interview partners from the industry, the latest trend sport offers, and a high calibre mix of workshops and meetings for both leisure sports enthusiasts and experts, making the fair unique worldwide.   The main complex is easily assessable to the public, with numerous entrances, parking spaces and transport to and from both the Dusseldorf city centre and International Airport. Motorboats – Halls 1, 3, 4, 5

    Whether you are a petrol head or completely electrified, whether you are looking for a fresh breeze or if you are looking for adrenaline and adventures, you will find it in Dusseldorf boot. Here you will find everything from motorboats, inflatable boats to luxury yachts: small motorboats and large motor yachts; with various types of propulsion. In addition, there’s luxury tenders, shadow boats and super boats. For anyone who likes the need for speed, there is a wide selection of powerboat speedboats, jet skis, wet-bikes and jet-boats.   If your dream is to start your motorboat journey and buy your first boat, there are seminars and workshops such as “Start boating – Start sailing” where experts will gladly provide people with tips and advice to all those who are interested in boating. From instruction on how to get a boating license to chartering yachts and suitable equipment, all your questions will be answered. Beginners will find all the answers provided by the experts and of course it is 100% free! In the exhibition hall, you may also experiment and try out the motorboat simulator. Sitting in a motorboat yourself accelerating and steering the boat with virtual goggles is an invaluable experience. It allows people looking to own a motorboat feel and experience how they can navigate it and manage it properly, with confidence.   Luxury tenders, chase and shadow boats have a new home at boot Dusseldorf. The equipment of such boats can be designed entirely according to the wishes of the buyer. Super Yachts – Hall 6

  In hall 6, you can admire pure luxury boats with their maximum comfort. Discover their excellence, exclusivity, their design, sportiness, and timeless elegance. This exhibition hall is always extremely popular to boot Dusseldorf, especially the range of yachts between 20 and 25 metres, in more recent years. Azimut, Sunseeker, Princess and others are always worth viewing and marvel at.   Here You will find everything you need for a luxurious life on the water. Whether it be a motor yacht or a sailing yacht, you can admire the latest models. There is also a section about plans and models for up-and-coming mega yacht projects as well as accessories and services, exclusively at the boat show.

Engine, Equipment & Accessories – Hall 10 & 11

    In halls ten and eleven, you will find the Refit Centre for Engines, Equipment and Accessories. At the refit centre, you can get professional tips and product information for your boat repair and restoration. This includes electrics and communication, electronics to heating and air-conditioning technology, as well as freshwater systems. From this you can profit from advice on equipment, interior, deck equipment and rigging, as well as anchoring, and mooring.     In Hall twelve you will find your diving paradise, above water, in all its facets. A varied stage performance for beginners and advanced divers awaits you at the Dive Centre. Dive centres from beautiful dive sites from all over the world will also be at the boat show, to introduce themselves and the latest diving equipment and trends to the public.   For complete beginners and anyone that wants to explore the fascination of weightlessness, you can secure yourself a place on a trial dive in the new glass tower.  With professional guidance and after a detailed briefing, you will go under water. A diving instructor will also be present to make sure everything goes smoothly. If you are already a trained diver and want to improve on your current skills, the advanced workshops are the right thing for you to explore. In the brand-new diving tower, you can improve on your skills in professional workshops with diving instructors. If you wish to move through the water like a mermaid, you may engage in mermaiding with qualified instructors who will show you how to move elegantly with the fin and the correct breathing techniques, so you don’t run out of air. Apnoea diving which is diving with just one breath also is available for any enthusiasts at the Dusseldorf boat show. From there they can get you started with freediving and show you the basics.

 

Travelling – Hall 13 & 14

Paddling – Hall 14

    When paddling in hall 14 you can prove your skills on the water. A 90-meter-long stream meanders through the hall between towering rocks and trees. It is 3 meters wide, 40 centimetres deep and flows into two large lakes. Take the time to try out new canoes and kayaks, try paddling for the first time or try a SUP! For guided canoe tours on fantastic rivers, canals or lakes, the travel area in the World of Paddling offers you great spots for your perfect activity holiday.

 

Sailing – Hall 15 & 16

  In Hall fifteen and sixteen, more than 100 manufacturers, sailing associations and regatta organisers fill this dedicated hall of the ‘crème de la crème” of the sailing industry. Discover dinghies and sailing yachts, the latest trends, and thrilling voyages. The experts give sailing fan-in-the-making valuable tips and tricks in their new “Start Sailing” area, whilst the little ones get ready to cast themselves off in the boat sailing school. An attraction is the stage of the Sailing Centre. This presents the whole world of sailing and offers top-class lectures by ocean sailors, regatta participants and around-the-world sailors. Expert experience advice will take you on a journey into the exciting world of sailing. Whether dinghies or the large yachts, monohulls, or multihulls in Halls 15- and 16-hour dream of sailing can come true. Beginners and children can try out sailing for the first time at boot. Taking part is expressly encouraged! Of course, under expert supervision from the experienced sailing instructors at a local sailing school. Participants can learn from the instructors at the boot Sailing School the first steps in dealing with sails and wind. For those more experienced there is sailing on the large water basin with several wind machines.

 

Surfing Sports – Hall 17

    In Hall seventeen, find everything a surfer’s heart desires. If you want to know exactly what is hot right now, come to the meeting point of the surf scene. Unlimited board sport action to watch and participate, the latest trends and of course lots of fun – this is unique opportunity which can only be found in boot Dusseldorf. Whether it be wingsurfers, wingfoilers, windsurfers, stand-up paddlers, wake-boarders, kite-surfers or skim-boarders – surfing fans will get their money’s worth at Beach World. Stand Up Paddling is very easy to learn. With the right paddling technique, you can have a lot of fun on the board. The Boot Dusseldorf instructors will show you how to paddle on the flat-water pools in the Beach World in hall 17. You can also learn now how to slide effortlessly over the water, on the skim board track. With the help of professional Skim-boarders present from the European Skim board Cup. Wake-boarders can also show you how to make the perfect start to your wakeboard journey, with the 60-metre-long pool, the professionals of Waterski Langenfeld show you how to make the perfect start at the cableway and stay on the board in the turn. In the daily wakeboard show, you will see what tricks are possible for any professional. You can improve your windsurfing and kitesurfing skills or make your first attempts with the wing with our surf academies. In cooperation with the Association of German Watersport Schools, instructors will show you how to do it on specially developed simulators. Once you have learned how to steer with the wing, it’s off to the pools. Driven by 34 wind machines, you will learn how to time the winds and turn it into propulsion.   Overall, the Düsseldorf Boat Show is a must-attend event for anyone interested in boating or the marine industry. It is a chance to see the latest and greatest products and innovations in the industry, as well as to learn more about boating and the marine industry. There are demonstrations and presentations by industry experts, as well as workshops and seminars covering a range of topics related to boating and the marine industry.
