Owners Comments

We have sailed Wind of Change around the southern North Sea to France, Belgium and Holland and cruised the channel islands.  She is a very comfortable boat both to sail and live aboard and she has been our home for the past 11 years.  During this time she has been constantly upgraded and, having lived aboard, no expense spared.

On deck: the original teak deck has been removed and replaced with TBS panels, which require minimum maintenance other than cleaning.  As part of this replacement, bespoke Granny Bars were fitted, with removable steps to facilitate easy stowing of the mainsail in its sail tamer cover.

Removable davits have been fitted which can also be swivelled inboard to reduce overall length in harbour.

Running rigging was replaced 2 years ago with English Braids racing Dyneema, which is non-stretch.

Masts were removed and rewired, plus the addition of a Rutland 913 wind generator and purpose mast mount on the mizzen mast.  The tricolour was replaced with an LED version.

New equipment also includes the mainsail (2016) and a new main anchor, which has not been used to date.

Continuing upgrades down below:

Upholstery has been replaced throughout the boat by Jeckells.  The aft bed has been made larger and 2 mattresses are used to facilitate fitting a lee cloth on this bed if required.  A new set of high quality blackout curtains complete the aft cabin.

The majority of lighting throughout the boat has been replaced with LED types.  In the working areas of the boat, switchable red and white lights have been fitted to aid night vision.

A solid fuel stove has been added for cosy winter nights when the sound of the webasto spoils the ambience.

The switch panel has been replaced with a bespoke design using Carling circuit breakers and a mimic panel added.  Instruments and plotter/radar have been replaced, and various upgrades carried out by the owner, who is a qualified marine electrician.

And finally the boat has been recently varnished throughout and presents in lovely condition
